Follicular phase

Metabolism is slower and estrogen levels slowly begin to rise. Focus on rebuilding energy with lighter gut soothing foods.

Ovulatory phase

Estrogen is at a peak level and we need to use foods that break that estrogen down. Fill up on raw veggies and smoothies.

Luteal phase

Metabolism speeds up. Blood sugar stability is more sensitive. To avoid PMS, focus on slow-burning carbohydrates, cooked leafy greens and fiber.

Menstrual phase

Due to lowest levels of estrogen and changing nutrient levels, focus on warming nutrient rich foods and high quality fats to prevent cramps, support menstruation and digestion in this phase.
