A BETTER WAY

News flash. Our health and the health of the planet are connected. But what does that even mean?

A diet rich in fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and legumes is better for you and has a smaller carbon footprint on the environment. Up your fruits and veggies, people.

Committing to a plant-forward diet is four times more impactful than recycling and eight times more beneficial to the environment than using LED light bulbs.* Lights out.

And if that doesn’t sway you, maybe this will. Replacing just 10% of your daily calories from beef and processed meat for plants - including fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, and seeds - can lower your dietary carbon footprint by 33%.**

EAT THE SOLUTION: THE EP, STARRING KELIS

In honor of Earth Month, we’re debuting a music video featuring Kelis, set on her home farm in Temecula, California. And dropping an EP featuring three singer-songwriters. With music as our vehicle, each artist shares their perspective on the role food plays in solving the climate and health crises.

Let’s inspire change by eating more thoughtfully.

Feed Them by Kelis

“If we’re able to plant these little seeds, give people the information and let them see how feasible and tangible eating the solution really is,  that’s the first step towards change.”

Born and raised in Harlem, Kelis is a musical force and cultural icon. With years of chart-dominating songs and boundary-pushing music under her belt, the singer/songwriter is also a Le Cordon Bleu trained chef with multiple television cooking specials across Netflix, Cooking Channel, and Food Network.

Eat Up by Kyla Imani

“If we are more mindful of the food we eat and how its grown, we can change the world. We will either be a part of the problem or the solution.”

NYC-born Kyla Imani weaves R&B, pop, and a kiss of trap into hooks that speak directly to her Gen-Z experience. The 20-year-old NYU Arts student and social media megastar, is just “trying to figure out life”.

The Way Things Were by Shuba

“In the same way that we try to surround ourselves with good people to feel better and have more positive energy, we should consciously try to fill our bodies with nutrients and vitamins that allow us to thrive every day."

Shuba is one to watch. The rapping-singing sensation blends the ethnic sounds of her Indian background with alluring vocals, clever lyrics, and an overall self-assured vibe.

Come Together by Damoyee

“I’m intentional about making informed decisions about everything I consume. I want to contribute to solving the health and climate issues we all face.”

DAMOYEE is an award-winning, multi-hyphenate artist from Dallas, Texas. Her most recent album, The Whole Truth, featured the acclaimed single, Independent that reached top 10 in Europe on the indie charts.
