Description
Description
With its nutty, semi-savory flavor, black sesame adds depth and richness to peak-season blueberries and bananas for a decadent (but not heavy) smoothie. We also added pine pollen, which has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

Key ingredients
Blueberry
A cup of blueberries makes a good source of vitamins C and K plus dietary fiber.
Banana
One large banana is rich in vitamin B6 and provides a good source of potassium, fiber and antioxidant vitamin C.
Black Sesame
An ounce of these little seeds packs 6 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber. You’ll also get dietary fat (the majority of which is mono and polyunsaturated fat), and a dose of iron, magnesium and zinc.
Spinach
These leafy greens pack plenty of nutrient-dense punch with blood pressure-regulating potassium. Not to mention iron, calcium, magnesium, and vitamin K.
Zucchini
Low in calories, high in water, and rich in fiber (not to mention potassium, folate, and vitamin A!), zucchini is a great way to load up on the essentials and feel satisfied without the splurge.
Pine Pollen
Each spring, pine trees produce a microscopic yellow dust called pine pollen. Pine buds are hand picked, dried, and the pine pollen is released and captured.
How to prep
- 1 Fill cup to top with your preferred liquid (any liquid works, but we'd go with an option like almond or oat milk).
- 2 Pour into a blender and blend.
- 3 Pour back into your cup and enjoy.
